"I've been sincerely meaning to e-mail you!
However I've been keeping busy trying to catch up at work after the
vacation. So the bottom line is: I can't tell you
what a wonderful time we had!!!! The cabin was very accommodating and
spacious! With 9 of us there it worked out perfectly. We followed your
directions exactly and thank God we did, because we had NO problems
finding the place. That goes for the "girl" car at least... we traveled in
two cars from Jacksonville, FL...us girls got in fine...the boys ended up
getting lost and got in late Friday night. Main reason? They left my
printed out directions in the trunk in someone's suitcase and stubbornly
assumed they could figure out directions on their own... :) I told them so. (Honestly, in the back of
my mind I was afraid this whole thing was an internet scam up until we
pulled in the driveway--due to it being $ SUCH a great deal!
We went rafting Saturday and hiking around
the area on Sunday. We never ate out once--on the way in town we stopped
at the grocery store and bought enough food to feed a hungry army and
cooked and grilled for every meal! It was great! And the dining room table
accommodated all of us! We had some rain throughout the trip so we ended
up really enjoying the place! So, THANK YOU for such a wonderful
vacation!! We were glad to find so many things already
there that we needed as well....linens, plenty of towels, robes, wood,
satellite radio!, trash bags, etc.
We had a wonderful time thanks to your
cabin!! I would LOVE to come back in the fall maybe? And I have been
spreading the word about your rentals :) Again, thank you soooo much Walt!
It was the perfect place for a reunion between friends!! Much
"My family and I had a wonderful family reunion in A Lake Memory and a
cabin of yours nearby. The cabin was very large and we were all
comfortable with plenty of space to spare. The king size beds were very
comfortable and we all slept wonderfully. My son loved the pool table,
he had his family members playing with him every opportunity that
arose. We loved the kitchen and dining room. We cooked 3 meals a day
for 7 days in the kitchen. It was really well equipped with all the
pans and utensils we needed. I loved waking up in the morning sipping
coffee and eating my mom's homemade cinnamon rolls on the porch. The
scenery and sounds were beautiful. We definitely got a good work out
walking up and down the hill. The kid's enjoyed having the loft all to
themselves. It was a great experience. Thank you, Elizabeth"
"The cabin was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and we will visit
again. The NFL direct ticket was what sold my husband; he is a big
football fan. We have direct ticket at home. My husband wants to visit
again late spring and bring his boat along next time. We loved how
private the cabin was and my son loved the pool table and movies on the
big screen. I enjoyed everything! Thanks! Tammy"
Thank you for your email, but more importantly, thank you so very much
for providing such a wonderful cabin for us to enjoy. I had one of the
best vacations of my life! Your cabin was everything you described it to
be on your website. It was beautiful, very clean and extremely
comfortable. Your kindness in permitting me to take my 5 miniature
schnauzers provided me the first opportunity to have a vacation that
included them. Because my favorite little one was recently diagnosed
with cancer, you allowed me to make memories with her that I will
cherish forever. Thank you for that! We all had such a wonderful time
together! We truly now have "A Lake Memory"! Again Walt, thank you for
providing such a wonderful cabin. I do hope to go back sometime.

Which is it? Smoky or Smokey?
We spell it both ways on this web site. So, if you're searching for
vacation rental accommodations and log cabins for rent in the "smokey"
mountains, you'll be sure to find us. Both are common spellings. But
if you want to be correct about it, spell it the way the National
Park Service does — the Great Smoky Mountains.
Smokey the Bear, on the other hand, spells his name the other way.
And if you're wondering about "Smokeys", "Smokys" or "Smokies,"
they're all correct.
